The first shortcut is Ctrl + W to close the current tab. Press Ctrl along with the W key, and the current tab will be closed. You can keep pressing it to close all kinds of tabs. If you have closed a tab accidentally and want to bring it back, press Ctrl, Shift, and the T key to reopen the last closed tab.  To switch between different tabs, use Ctrl along with the Tab key.
