WhatsApp new features launching in 2023
If you're using WhatsApp, then you have to read this post till the end. If you're an admin, you chat in groups, you do individual chats & you check everyone's status, then you must watch this video as there are a lot of changes in everything & I'm going to tell you about it in this video.

Multi-Device Support:- We used to have WhatsApp on 1 device & connect it to the PC. But now, you can connect to 4 devices at a time & use the same WhatsApp account. It's become that simple. It's not like you can't use the same account on 2 devices. You'll be able to use it. And you'll have to log in to the devices on which the WhatsApp single account is connected.

So that's a good thing. You can log in to the devices you've kept for a month & use them. And if you haven't logged in to the primary device for a long time, then you'll be able to log out from all devices. Because that's the primary device & I think that's fair & it's important for privacy. E-commerce is coming from all platforms. So how will WhatsApp change?

Buy Products on Whatsapp:- This update is a rollout & people can buy products on WhatsApp directly. And you know that UPI is already on WhatsApp & you can pay from there.

Block Unknown Numbers:- Now it's easy to block numbers & chats. There are many unidentified calls & messages. And every time you get an unidentified message, you'll get a notification. You can block it from there.

If you don't know the number, you can block it. Or you can press the chat long & you'll get an option to block it. It's easy to block anything from notifications or chats.

Status Updates:- There are many visual & feature-wise changes in the status updates.
1. You
can select which people want to see the status. So you can select people
privately & only show them their status.
2. Voice
status is coming. So you can set your voice message as a status.
3. You
can give reactions to the status as an emoji.
4. And
you'll easily know if you see someone's profile picture, there's a ring on the
side. It'll be on the ring as it's on Instagram & you'll know that there's
a new status.
5. And
link previews are also there for the status.

Now the features that I've told you about, some people have rollout & some have rollout earlier. And they're rolling now. But remember, many new features are coming in the coming days. That hasn’t been rollout yet.

Chat Transfer:- You can do chat transfers without Google Drive. You know that when you change your phone, you take the backup on Google Drive & then restore it. When you log in to a new device, you don't have to do this. Without Google Drive, you'll be able to transfer chats to new devices. It's very simple, go to settings, then chats, and choose chat history transfer. You'll get the QR code, scan it with another device & it'll get transferred.
Another feature that I'm very happy about because I type very fast, I reply to messages & I make mistakes too.

Message Edit:- Now there's a message edit feature, which means you can edit messages after you've sent them on WhatsApp.

Call Silent:- There's a new feature for unknown callers. Spam calls are very common on WhatsApp now. You must've seen it it's increased a lot in the last 1-2 months. Now you can automatically silence them. When you get a call from an unknown caller, you won't get any notification, it'll be silenced automatically. You'll have to enable that feature.
You won't be disturbed,
you'll get a notification but it won't ring, you won't know. You'll see it in
the call list or notification list.

Admin Review Alert:- Now this feature should've been there earlier, It's delayed. It means you're on a group chat, there are many times when you don't know there are unknown people. There are small groups and big groups & there are times when you get a message from an unknown number that is not right.
So now you can't do
anything, you can send a message to the admin directly. But now, you can long-press
that message & send it to the admin for review and the admin in the
group will get the notification, if he likes it, he'll let it be or delete it. That's up to him, but
you can alert the admin.

Broadcast channels:- Now, WhatsApp is copying some things from Telegram & bringing them onto its platform. Channels, just like there are different channels on Telegram, can be broadcast channels. So these channels are coming very soon & you'll probably be able to search those channels.
There might be a channel
on National Geographic or BBC, where we're broadcasting. And it's going to be
on WhatsApp as well.

UI Change:- There are changes in the design as well. Now, the navigation is on the top, chats, calls, status, etc. Now it's going to be on the bottom. If you look at other social media platforms, they generally prefer bottom navigation. Now, there's going to be the same on WhatsApp. If you use an iPhone, there's already bottom navigation on WhatsApp. It's coming on Android very soon.
As I said at the start of this post, there are a lot of new features coming on WhatsApp. And I think it's for good & that's nice. Earlier, there weren't many changes on WhatsApp, but in the last 2-3 years, new features are being added every month & that's good. According to me, it's really good.
